30 days of night

I expected more from this movie.. Granted that it's from the humans' perspective rather than the vampires' now.. The movie seemed to have little short unfinished stories and it leaves the viewers somewhat *urgh* (I can't really describe the feeling.. but it's that feeling) *urgh* . I wished the movie told more, on how the vampires came about, or how that stupid human trusted what the vampires said.. My boyfriend seemed scared after he watched the movie cause of the human perspective that was put in the movie. The story didn't seem to have a head, and a weak tail at the end. (*Spoiler* In the end it was personal sacrifice so that the person Eben loves will be able to live. ) No story on how did the vampires came about, but their just there. And they strike Alaska because the sun will not rise for 30 days and night. And the last part where they burned the whole town, and the vampire leader saying that "for centuries, people didn't believe in them, and thought them as nightmares.. now they know.. " Why did they burn the town then? Only the survivors would believe, and other people won't believe them anyway. I don't recommend watching this in the theaters... Either watch it online, or get the DVD.. Maybe the DVD will make more sense with the director's notes or whatever..
